I was wondering if anybody could help me. I need to decipher the plexiglass window dating on a 1962 hardtop I found for sale. On both side windows as well as the rear window, it has "plexiglas AS-4 4-62" printed on them. My car is a November 1961 car, but common sense tells me that if "4-62" means April '62, the top is too new for my car. I just need to know if that is in fact what the date code means. I have also found a top that had plexiglas stamped "E 61". Does it stand for May 1961? Any help would be WAY appreciated!! Thanx!!

The E 61 would represent May 61, but Alpha characters were not used on the plexiglass, only numbers. That would lead me to believe that the plexiglass was replaced and the installer used alpha characters instead of numbers.
