    C2 Vent Window Repair

About two years ago I installed a new Front Window Run(metal strip with felt that attaches to the vent window)on my 66 Convertible. I was instructed to use a black polyurthane adhesive in a caulking tube, which I did. It held about a year and now has sprung loose. I needs to be re-attached. Does any one have suggestion on what adhesive to use? and or the best procedure. Thank You in advance.

    Dave:

There should be NO adhesive used here. The front channel run ought to be attached to the vent window assembly by 3 (or 4) flathead Phillips screws. Then the "whisker" lined front channel liner should be attached by 3 or 4 folded tabs.
