I've run across a "Technical Information Bulletin" dated 7/16/65 that states that 1965 L78s PRIOR to VIN #16736 may need part # 3827365 - called out as a 1 1/2' long rubber seal - installed on the radiator support to stop "hood flutter" or "hood rapping". My copy of the AIM does NOT seem to refer to this and neither does my copy of the Judging Guide. Is it true or false? The implication is that effective with #16736, the seals were installed at St Louis.

Loren-----
GM #3827365 is a piece that would have been originally released in late 1962 to early 1963. It was never available from GM as a SERVICE item.
It may have been a bulk item used only in PRODUCTION and cut-to-size, as required. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Re: 1965 BB Rad Supt Seal
I looked at my old photos of 17346 . it had a piece of squared rubber hanging on by a thread on top of the core support. all that is left of it now is a trace of yellow weatherstrip glue .the glue is on the front upper section. Bill- Top
