I recently bought a sand cast '63 fuel injection system with a data plate numbered 32 (not 1032). This has one of the pre-flag lids with a healthy sized Winters snowflake as pictured on page 134 of Adams' Guide. The rear of the plenum and lid are stamped "13". I believe this corresponds to the VIN of the Pilot Line Corvette which left St. Louis with this unit. I also have '63 7375 unit #36, and its plenum is stamped with car VIN 16 (in my opinion).
Anyway, my question concerns another stamping found on the plenum and adapter manifold of unit #32. These hand stampings read "ZINN 001". Does anyone know what this means? I'm guessing it is the last name of a former owner, but it could be the name of a GM dealership, amatuer racing team, or even a machine shop.
