My 59 radiator seems to be leaking antifreeze from the core..Its a dated correct rad.Can it be recored if its in bad shape?What would be the best procedure?

I had the rad from my 58 done a few years back by a local rad shop who did a great job. He sweated the upper and lower tanks off the core and replaced it. Be sure that the shop does not use cheaper newer cores which have lips on the top and bottom to recieve the tanks and are of much lighter construction. I used a heater core style which almost looks like it was dipped in solder compared to the newer styles. This can be soldered onto your tanks just like the original. -
