    C2 -1964 Initial motor start and drive

    From the folks who have been to the movie and bought the tee-shirt...can you give me your thoughts of things that should be checked after you complete your maiden voyage...I dont want to go over every nut and bolt again but what has been your experience after a complete disassembly, What torque settings should be checked, what should be looked at carefully upon return from that first drive. Can you share horror stories that may give me a heads up to make sure I dont repeat.

    Dino------

    1) If you used Fel-Pro Permatorque head gaskets or stock GM or similar metal shim head gaskets, then you don't really need to recheck the head bolt torque. If you used any other type of gasket, then you DO need to recheck and retorque ALL of the head bolts;

    2) check torque of exhaust manifold bolts and intake manifold bolts; both are easy to do;

    3) change oil and filter (no matter how many miles)
