The steering column is adjustable in and out so the amount of column showing in the engine compartment is a factor of where you end up adjusting the steering wheel. When I installed mine, with everything loose, I sat in the drivers seat and moved the steering column & wheel back and forth until I got it where it was comfortable and then tightened everything down.

      Ken,

      Thanks for the response.

Last night I made some measurements and noticed that there is a spec. on how far the housing for the directional signal was to be from the housing that is attached the the steering wheel (0.070 to 0.090 inches). So, from there, I was able to calculate some measurements down to the steering gear.

That should get me close and I am planning on attaching everything but leaving the bolts loose so that I can do what you suggested.

      Thank again,

      Gary
