Re: NEEDED FAMILY HISTORY
Victor,
First note, most prefer it if you don't use all capital letters, as it is annoying to read, and is considered "yelling".
Anyway, you are asking the question that, in reality, we all want the answer to. That's why no one has answered, as few of us know all the minute details of our Corvette's history, either.
Basically, you have to track it down yourself through various frustrating methods. The first is to look at the car, and determine when it was made, and what options it has. Apparently you've done some of this. The next thing is to go back and find/search for all the previous owners of your Corvette by starting with the gentleman (or lady) who sold you the car. If you are lucky, each owner remembers a little about the one before. Most, however, do not. For example, I know the previous two owners of my car personally, but before them all I have is a name and a long-vacated address in a state all the way across the country. It ends there.
There are NO public access records from St. Louis indicating where your Corvette was shipped or what options it had. If you know a policeman friend, you could have him try the NICB, but this may not give you much. Even if you find the dealer, there is little chance that they are still in business, or even have the record of your car.
Hope this helps a little, but basically we'd all like to be able to find this info just as much as you.
