Help!! I'm putting the front end together and was about to install the steering knuckles. The AIM lists P/N 3899107 as LH and 3899108 as RH. I have only 4A cast into one and HJ stmped or cast in the other at a different location. They appear to be exactly the same but I don't want to install them and find out after that they're not. I know I should have kept track of this but....
Thanks for any help
The 1967 steering knucles, as a seperate component, are the same for either side. The part numbers that you mentioned are for the the steering knucle and hub ASSEMBLIES, as used in PRODUCTION (incidenatlly, never available in SERVICE as assemblies). The ASSEMBLIES do contain side-specific parts, and, thus, there are different part numbers for each side. The side-specific parts in the assemblies are the steering arms, brake calipers, dust shields, and brake caliper brackets. But, the knucles, themselves, are the same for either side.
