    67 master cylinder

The judging manual makes no reference to date codes for master cylinders. After purchasing a 5455509 master cylinder to rebuild, I find that they have machining dates and that the date on the one I purchased is not correct for my car. Before I pay to have this resleeved, can someone tell my if this master cylinder would receive a deduct for originality?

I don't think that these dates are judged. Plus, I don't think that some or all 67 master cylinders even had the dates. If so, you could have the forward brake line fitting boss lightly spot-faced and the dates would "go away".
