    58-60 vs 61-62 front bumper

Can anyone tell me how to identify the difference between a 58-60 and a 61-62 front bumper?? I have a 60 and suspect that the bumpers are off a 61-62 because the "teeth" in the grill sit too far forward. I currently have the bumpers off the car but without a side by side comparison don't know how to tell the difference.

I can't give you specific measurements, but the difference is in the position of the center bar mounting. If your center bar sits too far forward, I suspect your accessment is correct.

Ed and Dave - Yes there is a difference in how far forward the center bar fits in the bumpers. I was told that the center bar mounting flange depth from the back edge of the bumper is 1" (58-60) and 1 1/4" (61-62). My 62 is 1 1/4". When assembled, there will also be a poor fit between the center bar and the bumpers if those parts are not matched. Perhaps Mr Clark can confirm. Regards, Dick
