    69 body paint items

I was wondering if anyone could tell me which components were on the body of a coupe during painting. I'm pretty sure that the doors were installed but I'm not sure about the hood or headlight doors. Thanks.

Doors, hood and headlamp doors were on the body. Headlamp bezels, wiper door, wiper vent and rear vent grilles were not. Rear valance was on the body temporarily, and was removed for body drop and then reinstalled. I suspect the removable top panels were not in their installed position either, but I am not sure and others (perhaps even some who were there in 1969) will likely chime in on that subject.

Thanks Terry. Am I correct to assume that the doors and hood were open to paint the door jams and engine compartment lip and then "closed" prior to painting the body?

I would expect that was the sequence of events, but there were no latches on the hood or doors so closed might be a relative term.
