    62 nose letters

    I need to locate the holes in the front to install the "CORVETTE" letters. If anyone has a 62 with the nose letters removed could you make me a template of those letters and their relationship to the hood opening and front emblem. Thanks Greg Farris contact at flightt@hotmail.com

      Had a similar problem...

      Years ago on a friends' C3. The rear letters were missing, the holes painted over, so he bought new ones but didn't know where to put them. I crawled underneath the car and poked the holes out from the back. The only risk is if there is bondo on the paint side, you could lose some paint. As small drill held in your fingers would avoid this.

          If this is a case of a new top surround, the poking could be difficult.

              perhaps mr. clark can describe how he placed the fuel injection emblems on his 220 hp 57 vet years ago.

                  Had the same problem 6 years ago. I was at Carlisle and a vendor I believe Legendary Cars of Warrinton, Pa. sold me the front section that was drilled for
                  the letters and emblem. Sorry I gave it away to fellow Corvette hobbbist with the same problem.

                          It is a new surround, consequently the only holes are the two for the front emblem.
