    body height

I would like to know the measurment from the ground to the lip on the wheel wells front and back on my 67 coupe. I have several books with no mention of this measurment.

    Re: body height

    Roger -

There is no GM-published measurement to the lips of the wheel wells. There are two different Engineering height measurements shown in UPC 3 and UPC 4 of the A.I.M. - the "J" and "K" heights (bottom of rocker molding to ground), which are affected by tire size and are specified with the original tires, and the "Z" and "D" heights, which are independent of tire size and tell you if loaded spring deflection is still within the original design specs. These measurement specs assume "as shipped" condition, which has only two gallons of gas in the tank - a full fuel tank will add about another 110# of load to the rear suspension.
