C2- MSO to Tank sticker connection

I have the original tank sticker as well as a copy of the MSO for my 67 convertible. I don't have the window sticker ,and as such, appear to have no connection between the tank sticker and the serial number. Is there anything on the MSO that might corelate to the tank sticker? Does the GM-to-dealer invoice number show up on any other documentation than the MSO? I also have copies of all the titles from the previous owners(3). I have no real doubt as to the authenticity of the car but this little connection would be nice to have. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Re: C2- MSO to Tank sticker connection

    Glenn -

I haven't seen an MSO of that era for a long time, but I doubt if there's anything on it that would connect it to the "tank sticker" (Corvette Order Copy) unless the MSO has the "Ident Number" on it, and that's unlikely, as the "Ident Number" had no legal meaning. Are there any numbers on your MSO other than the VIN number?

The MSO has nothing other than the reference to "invoice number", in this case,BS06037. Plus the selling dealer, date, weight, wheelbase, and serial number. I had hoped invoice number might connect some dots.

There's a link between options and MSO weight

It's tenuous, as there's not (to my knowledge, anyway) a definitive data base of option weights and combinations that would at least give some satisfaction that, for your body style, the MSO particular total weight agrees with the tank sticker options.

I found a couple of Chevrolet MSO's this morning, and sure enough, there are no "numbers" on them to tie directly to the tank sticker; just the VIN and the Dealer Invoice number.
