    C-2-emblems

    Recently purchased a swc,previous owner left all emblems off for a cleaner look, i would like them on, i have put on the side emblems and nose, but the rear looks very difficult, have just about every book available but says to access from the right rear,would appreciate any feedback on this, thanks

    I don't think that the rear emblem would be all that difficult. You may have to remove the right side muffler and, possibly, the right side bumper and braces for completely free access to the area, but that's the MOST you should have to do and neither is all that difficult. Actually, I don't think that you would absolutely have to remove even these items to redrill the holes and install the emblem.

      Thanks joe, i will give it a try,could see the old holes filled from the inside on the fenders,that was no problem but the rear looked a little tight,will maybe remove the muffler first,

        Scott: I ran into the same thing with my 67. The genius I bought it from had filled in the emblem holes everywhere except for the numbers on the hood. Even the front bumper holes and the radio antenna holes were filled. I scraped away the excess excrement from the backside of the covered holes and used a small bit and drilled from the bottom. After verifying the alignment I used the correct sized bit and they are perfect.

        It never ceases to amaze me at the lengths some people will go to to screw up a car.

          I was able to install the rear emblem on my 63 by removing the exhaust panel and reaching up over the gas tank. I don't think you would have to remove any other parts.
