    C-2 alarm

Does anyone have experience with having an anti theft alarm in a C-2? Any suggestions of make or model of alarm?

if you intend to have it judged, a Winchester model 94 under your bed , two overfed St. Bernards in the yard , and a wife who sleeps lightly works for me. If originality is no concern, check with TWR or a similar alarm type company for their expertise. good luck , mike

I don't have one of these alarms but I think I 'll get two (one for the 56, one for the 64). Check out the following two web sites. http://www.powerlock.com/index.html http://www.truckaddons.com/Catalog/s...k_security.htm

If my memory serves me right, there is an article in an old Restorer about a removable alarm that someone made up from Radio Shack (?) parts that was removable for judging. Does anyone have the Restorer on CD that can look it up? Also, doesn't the judging guide allow an alarm as long as it is discreetly installed?

          Gary:

I took a quick look at The Restorer CD. I did not see the article that you mention. Most articles seem to deal with alarm systems for '69 and up cars.

Mike, as I mentioned, I am relying on memory here. It MAY have been Corvette Fever magazine but I am leaning towards the Restorer. I will check it out. I also seem to remember that this wasn't something permanently installed, but more of home built unit for the road. If I find anything I will post it.
