I don't know where you can obtain one. However, the part you're looking for is GM #3830056. It was uniquely applicable to the 63/64 Corvette HD brake application master cylinder----no other applications, whatsoever. It was discontinued in Decemeber, 1968. This will be a very difficult item to find, as I'm sure you realize. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Semi-relatecd Question....
My AIM calls out the booster for the ZO-6 as #5462110 and the booster for the J50 brakes as #5462025. I've just finished looking at the OUTSIDE of these two boosters and cannot detect a visible difference - can anybody help?- Top

Re: Z-06
Call Muskegon Brake in Michigan at 800 442 0335. They had a rebuilt sitting on their disply/for sale table at Knoxville in March. How much? 15 bones sticks in my mind.
That's $1,500 outside of Tennessee!- Top

Re: Semi-relatecd Question....
Loren-----
The reason why the J-50 and Z-06 boosters look the same is that they are the same. Exactly the same inside and out. Here's why the different part numbers:
GM #5462025 was an assembly consisting of the master cylinder + the booster. In other words GM #5462025= GM #5462385 + GM #5462110. This assembly was a PRODUCTION only item and never available in SERVICE.
For the Z-06 brake package, the master cylinder and the brake booster were seperate parts. The booster was GM #5462110 and was the same as that used for the above-referenced 5462025 assembly. This booster was mated to the master cylinder at St. Louis. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Re: Z-06
Mike,
I realize that the pricing was reasonable. As a matter fact, I was suprised it was that cheap given the fact of how difficult they are to find.
Rare doesn't necessarily mean desireable. In this case, they are hard to find however there are probably not "that" many potential customers at market price.
Have a great day!- Top

Re: Z-06
Tell you how crazy the prices can get. About 10 years ago I bought a Z06 master cylinder that had been bought a short time earlier at Englishtown for $50. Someone came to me wanting to know if I had a Z06 M/C a few minutes after Werner offered the M/C to me for $250. I said to the purchaser to come back in half an hour while I dug out. I went over a few spaces bought the M/C and sold it 20 minutes later for $1800. The buyer was very happy to pay that price. So a good price is what someone is willing to pay.
