1959 radio delete

Did 1959 radio delete cars have the chrome shielding on the distributor.

agree with the Arizona lawyer.Note that the radio delete engines did have the plug wire supports that were also used to attach the ignition shielding so if its to be judged, have the supports. good luck , mike

I asked this question once about my '59 no radio car and was told that the spark plug covers were in place but not the dist cover. How about the verticle shields?

Tom: the spark plug HEAT SHIELDS were installed on radio delete engines, but not the stainless or chrome Ignition shields you'll see hiding the plugs somewhat on a radio equip. corvette. the verticle bright radio shields would also been deleted in a radio-less vet.mike

Thanks for the clarification Mike. That makes more sence. I know my '59 didn't have any trace of any radio related equipment on it when I bought it in '69. Well, except for that '57 Ford AM stuck in the dash but I'd rather not talk about that.
