    57' Engine Detail (Paint Colors)

I am unsure of the original color of the Oil Fill Tube and the Harmonic Balancer and attached Disk. Your help is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks and Best Wishes!

    Bob -

2x4 engines have a silver-gray enamel painted oil fill tube, and it's semi-gloss black on single-carb engines. The harmonic balancer is engine orange; it was in place when the engine was painted, and if the crank pulley is riveted to the balancer, it's orange too; some 270's and all 283hp FI cars had a bolted-on crank pulley, which is semi-gloss black.
