C2 1964 Rear Quarter Trim Panels

On a silver exterior black inetrior convertible, does the channel that runs vertically that this rear quarter trim panel(the part that hides the conv top mechanism)inserts into .....painted black right on the edge seam, or stays silver wrapped around? What is the tape line?

There is a break right in the center of the wraparound where the black/silver breaks. If you don't have a car to look at the best way I could describe it is if you were outside the car looking at the inside door jamb area, you would see silver, and fron the inside looking at the same area it would be black.
