63 center arm rest

Hello all,
Just starting to reupholster my center arm rest and can't remember if the end piping goes on the console or the rear edge. The reproduction cover only has piping on one end? Thanks in advance

Pin goes to the rear where it inserts in a pilot hole centered in the metal partition just behind the seats. mike

Piping goes on the forward side.
