T-top squeeking

Good evening to all of you. I took my 72 coupe out for a nice spin late this afternoon and I have annoying squeeks coming from my T-tops. It sounds like they are too loose but I would be a bit concerned to tighten up the adjusting legs too much more. Is it possible that they are too tight? Would dielectric grease or some other lubricating substance work to reduce the squeeking in the tops? If I push on any corner there isn't any appreciable difference in the noise. Any help here folks.?

Gary,

if you actually unlatch all 4 latches, does it squeak more, or less? Those little rubber buttons at the end of the latches tend to squeak. If you undo the latches they aren't in the equation. You might even try loosening one latch at a time to see if you can narrow it down.

If it appears to be the weatherstripping, a very LIGHT coating of dielectric grease may help.

And by the way, what are you doing DRIVING that Corvette?
