    C1 Cowl Vent Info

    Hi,
Can someone tell me what head type, size blots are used to secure the cowl vent to the vehicle? Are these painted or left natural?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Regards,

Thanks Dennis for your assistance. Good question John. It's the four that mount to the upper metal dash brace. Thanks

Think they are little carriage bolt guys, but I'll check and get back with something a little more descriptive... Dennis

Carriage bolt's on the vent to hinge's and 1/4 20 hex bolt's 1/2 or 3/4 on the upper dash brace. Show's pic. of it in assembly manual on B-28 Hinge's were already in car when painted because of paint on all the one's I have ever seen. Probably a little over spray on the mounting bolt's. john

Hi Craig: Just took this apart on my early '61:

Hinge to dash frame: 1/4-20x5/8 untrimmed (dished) hex head, plated - no overspray, with lock washer.

Midway down hinge - 1/4-20x5/8 carriage bolt, thin FW, LW, nut, all plated. Mine were inserted from outboard toward inboard. Front ones were painted while rear were not.
