    C3 Driveaxle Question

Hi, My 1970 Corvette is up on stands and I decided to test the automatic transmission after years of sitting idle. Everything turned smooth with no noises but the passenger side drive axle had a lot of wobble in it. Could this be that the U-joints need replacing or does it mean that I have a bent drive-axle? Thanks for the help.

    Re: C3 Driveaxle Question

If you run that car like that you'll have a bent axle OR a screwed up u-joint. I hope you have the trailing arms supported so that the halfshafts are "PARALLEL" to the floor. If not STOP what your doing. The u-joints CANNOT handle that severe angle if you are doing this with the suspension just hanging!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
