Is there any way to search previous issues of Driveline? I want to find out if the original 427/435hp engine (block or complete) was ever listed for sale, etc. I have a 68 L-71 with VIN 415394. Also, did the St. Louis plant operate on Saturday? My trim plate shows I06, which according to my calculations cooresponds to Saturday, April 6. Thanks.

The only way I know to search previous issues of Driveline is to find the original copies and go through them manually. That would take a little time.
I know there have been questions before about production shift schedules but cannot remember the answers. If you have not already done so, you may want to try the archives. -

Yes, the plant occasionally operated on Saturday overtime, but the records are sketchy at best.Comment
