Electrical Problems

Hi!

I am in need of some electrical advice! The headlights and dash cluster lights do not work. I have no power to the panel lamps fuse connection (left side of the fuse block). All other fuse connections have power. I pulled the block loose from the firewall and everything looks good on the backside.

You should look in the area of the Head Light Switch. It is the common connection between the two items.

Could you please explain how the power is fed to the fuse block?

The switch is fed by a large red wire. It applies power to a DG wire that goes to the fuse block. The fuse block will not be powered if the switch is not in the on position. The color codes vary year to year, but are similar. The fact that you do not have HLs makes me think it is a feed problem.

Problem was in the switch. Some one was into the switch before my ownership and the brass slide contactors were lying inside the case. I cleaned and reassembled the switch and I now have lights. One electrical problem solved, now on to the next one.
