    C2 parts

I need a little help with some part numbers for a 65 L76. The first one is a water pump pulley with the number 3770245CC. Is this the correct pulley for this engine? The next part is an antenna with the number 5045511. This antenna runs but does not go up and down. If this is the right antenna for the car, is there any place to get parts or service it. I know that on the newer(79ish) that you can get the internal cable with the top section attatched to fix this problem. Is this true with this antenna? Thanks in advance.

Water pump pulley GM #3770245 is the correct one for the 1965 L-76 application. It is still available from GM, although the current pulley differs slightly from the originals.

GM #5045511 is not the part number for any antenna ASSEMBLY that I can find record of. I suspect that this part number is a part number for a not seperately serviced COMPONENT of an antenna assembly or it's a Delco parts system more-or-less "generic" antenna assembly.

Thanks joe, Is there any place on the antenna that I would look for a number? This 5045511 is on the big round part of the antenna (where the cable winds up)

If you are talking about an embossed part number on the component that you describe, that's almost certainly a part number for that component only. Usually, IF a part number for the antenna assembly appears on the assembly, it will be on a paper label.

Thanks again Joe. I still believe that this antenna is from a 65. Is there anyone rebuilding these?

It could very well be from a 65. I don't know of a rebuilding source, but I'm sure there is one out there.

              Dan -

Call Dale at OEM Glass, (800) 283-2122. Not cheap, but you won't find anyone better (or cheaper).
