1980 Lo Beam Guide Replacement Lights

I was wondering if anyone could give me a source for the oem Guide Low beam and I guess the GE Halogen high beam headlights for a 1980 coupe.

As far as I know, Guide headlamps are no longer manufactured. At the time of your car's manufacture, Guide was a division of GM (i.e. the Inland-Fisher-Guide Division). In the mid-1990's, the "Guide" component of that division was "spun-off" as an independent company. However, I believe that they ceased manufacturing headlamps even prior to that event. There are reproduction sources of the Guide lamps, but I don't think that the configuration that existed in 1980 are reproduced (Guide-manufactured headlamps changed lens configuration MANY times over the years of their manufacture).

As far as GE-manufactured halogen high beams, I didn't realize that brand or type was ever originally used for 1980 Corvettes. If that's the case, someone may have added these later. In any event, GE-brand bulbs should not be difficult to locate. GE-brand and Sylvania-brand are the most common brands which can be found in auto parts stores. The configuration of today's GE sealed beams may differ somewhat, though, from the ones you have.

They show up NOS on eBay quite frequently. Had a set (Guide low beams) that went begging without buyer(s) at $5/pair. Finally gave them to a fellow club member to unclutter my shelf....
