Am in the market for source & P/N of the gasket that seals the road draft tube or PCV hose adaptor. This, of course, assumes they used one. Thanks.

In theory, the baffled unit should prevent liquid from getting to the exit for the road draft tube.Bill Clupper #618- Top

Re: C1 Gasket
as roy pointed out , the paper compsition gasket comes in the overhaul gasket set.Even tho c-1 probably didn't use them , i install them ( Waste not want not). As i type this , the FBI are pulling in the driveway with a one-way ticket to sing sing. And all i did was makeup a set of plug wires.- Top

Re: C1 Gasket
Dennis,
I have pulled several known originals draft tubes off of engines and have found a gasket not only between the block and tube but also between the bolt and the tube. They were both paper gaskets and Dr Rebuild sells a grey paper gasket set that replicates both quite well. I cannot speak to the 62 cars that had a fitting and the PCV valve, but would assume that since eariler models used them, that the 62 would use tham as well. The Aim does not show the gaskets, but they were used.

Re: C1 Gasket
just a wild ass guess how about a distributor to manifold gasket for the correct size? i have not looked at a road draft tube block since the 60s becaused we destroyed them pretty fast and were always looking for a new block so they never lasted very long.- Top
