62 tranny dates

I need to get a new tranny for my 62 which was built on Dec 5, 1961. I can find the acceptable date range in the judging guide but was wondering was a more realistic time frame would be for a tranny to be stamped and then end up in my car. A couple weeks, A couple months? I think I normally hear that the t-10's went quick and 3 weeks would be the norm. I found a tranny about 2 months previous to my car and wanted to see if that would work. Also does soemone have the correct casting numbers for the main case and tail shaft?

T-10 1C case, Tailhousing is identifiable by use of single mounting pad, as opposed to the dual mounting pads used in earlier years.

clup: both my 57 T-10's have a single tranny mount boss on the tailhousing.

True, in both cases, but rare enough to not likely come into play here. Only one set of bolt holes for the shifter also. Easier to install the parts correctly.
