    62 Dash Pad

    dash pad jim grantham i am replacing the dash pad and have the windshield and dash apart i know i need to remove the foam backing from the area behind the instrument console and the area behind the dash insert over the parcel shelf what do i need to do at the ends the area that will be under the dash end caps the old pad had been poorly done and offers little guidance also what type of adhesives should i use i have considered a contact spray adhesive on the larger flat areas and nothing elsewhere jim g

    re dash pad ed jennings i put a dash pad on a about years ago and my memory is a bit fuzzy obviously the old dash residue has got to go i don't remember using any sort of adhesive since the windshield instrument cluster radio bezel and the script behind the chicken bar serve to hold everything in place that probably isn't much help i think the spray adhesive would do fine but there isn't much that needs to be glued down i would use sparingly
