C2 Tire Tub Bolt Length for KO's

I need to order the two tire carrier bolts for my spare tire tub and not sure which ones to order. I hve Knock Offs with radial 205/75R15 tires mounted on them. there are three lengths to choose from. the standard ones 9 1/4 inch long, the ones for KO's which are 9 5/8 inch long and the ones for red/gold lines which is 10 1/4 inches long. Which do I order?
    Thanks in advance

You might want to contact Paragon Reproductions. They sell all three sizes. If you explain your situation they can probably give you the correct size. There web site is www.corvette-paragon.com

I have 205/70' on KO's on the ground with a 195/75 spare on a 5.5" steel wheel. I used the 10.25" bolts and also used two .5" thick spacers(and .5"longer bolts) between the lockbolt bracket and the frame. If you use a 205 width spare you will need to put 1" spacers, and longer bolts, on the lockbolt bracket. They sell the lockbolt/bracket assembly that is longer but the nylon spacers(thick washers) were way cheaper and you can't see them when installed. Joe

Did this allow the lid to close completely? My 205/75R on 5.5" steel rim leaves a 1" gap.

With the .5" spacers I have about .4" gap. It would be close to 1" with 1" spacers on the lock bolt. At the front, the lid hangs down 1" more then originally, but because of the molded lip on the tub, there is only about a .2" gap. This is what happened to the 65-67's with the longer bolts since GM didn't change the depth of the tub when they went to wider tires/wheels.

            Randy,

where did you buy the longer bolts from? would assume I need to buy the two for the bracket and then the lock bolt? I want to be able to carry my 1963 spare in the tub rather than the French Michelin 185/75R15 (5.5 wheel with 205-75R15)

Since Randy didn't answer your question, hope you don't mine if I do. Most if not all of the Corvette suppliers have the components you want. Corvette Central has the front 10.25" bolts, #552022 @ $42.00/pr. and the rear carrier Bolt Lock Assembly w/Bracket, # 552031 @ $29.00. As I posted earlier, you can also put 1" of spacers between the lock bolt bracket and the frame, along with 1" longer bolts and save yourself $29.00, unless you are missing the unit. Joe

                Rick,

I don't know what length is there. I was just reading the posts as a way to cure the 1" gap in the lid. I see Paragon makes both 9 1/4" and 10 1/4" bolts.
