Could someone please provide the color code for the directional signal flasher wires for a 1965?

    Thanks for all the help!

I dont have a 65 diagram handy, but it should be some form of PPL and BRN.

      Thanks! Wayne

Thanks for all the help you have provided on my 65-restoration project. I have a question in reference to the turning signal flasher. I believe that I have found the flasher on the electrical drawing (not labeled). I am a little confused on the way the diagram shows the wiring. The previous owner had a short in a brown wire and destroyed the coating on the brown wire. He then taped it with black electrical tape and continued to use this circuit. I have replaced the bad wire. The wire was brown and connected to a hub in the middle of the dash/fuse panel wire harness. There were six wires that connect to this hub and all are brown. One of these wires goes to the accessory side of the switch. The drawing shows a brown wire connecting to the power side of the #6 and #10 fuse block and then connecting to the flasher. This wire does not exist, but the replaced wire from the hub has no home. There is a wire from the hub to the power side of the fuse block #6 and #10. The current would be coming from from the same source. Could this be the brown wire that I need?

Thanks for any help you may be able to provide!

As long as the power is picked up in the same place everything should work correctly. Sounds like some one ran an exrta wire to replace a burned one. I wouldnt worry too much about it. Just replace wires to the places that they sould go.
