NM means there is only a title line, no other text, (No Message) and yes when the headlamps are on the parking lights are off

Saw one at Zion that did not - ALMOST

may me curious enough to check out how he had it wired - fortunately, Rosebaugh arrived with another round and the curiosity passed.

to keep the parking lights on with the headlights you just jumper the light switch. our corvette club, corvette club of western pa, did that back in the 50s and 60s so we would know fellow members on the road.

Loren - Thank goodness someone came along and saved you. I think the topic has been on the DB before. If I recall correctly, some of the current replacement light switches for '64-'67 cars do not function as the original light switches and the concern was that the front parking lights remained on when the headlights were on. So, it might not even be necessary to modify the wiring, just get one of those new high performance light switches. Pete

                  Rich:

I don't think it was until 1968 that the parking/driving lights were required to stay on when the headlights were on.

People have run into situations where an inspector will try to fail their pre-1968 cars because of this. Some inspectors are not aware of when this came into effect.

You can simply put a diode jumper between the Headlight and parking terminals @ the switch and not have to modify any wires.
