Hey Craig ! Which site do you think you're on?

    This isn't Vetteheads you know!

    www.vetteheads.com

You might want to try pop up killer, it's freeware.

      Re: Pop Up Killers

Hi Craig. I have tried many pop-up stopper programs, both free and not free. I have found that Pop-up Stopper, http://www.panicware.com/, is the most effective. I suggest that you download the free version. The program will stop approximately 95% of the pop-ups. There are a few minor inconviences, such as the steps required to open a link on an internet page. You must first right click the link, select open, and then depress the "ctrl and shift" keys to open the link.

      Thanks

      Lee

Thx Mike! you are right it was the VH site and I forgot! (or should I have put a TQ in the title)...thx for the site!

Seriously, something autoloaded this morning on my PC that sync's my PC clock with the national bureau of standards atomic clock (I assume like WWV). BUT, there is something called GAIN advertising it loaded too (the price for a free utility I didn't even ask for, somehow it loaded (geez, maybe it was that google search website I found I bought the Tavia leakdown tester). Oh well....gotta get this SPAM and pop up situation fixed!!!!!! ...Craig

Mike - that killer link is dead, after the mini download of the self extracting file to access the real download, the link the tool tries to open is bad. Oh well....Craig

Call your Internet Provider about the Spam. The tools are out there for them to provide email filtering. I've noticed a couple providers in the last six months or so providing this as an added service for an additional couple bucks a month.

Mike - I think I may have that through Comcast...it's mostly on my old email account, when I pull in the POP mail from that. Thx for the suggestion.
