Intermittent Setting (Delay) Windshield Wipers

The Intermittent (Delay) Setting on the Windshield Wipers of my 1982 Corvette doesn't work properly. On the delay setting the wipers will sweep at the highest and lowest frequency settings but not any of the middle settings. I tried changing the switch module (assuming that the build in reostat was shot) but that didn't change the behavior. I don't understand how the delay systems works well enough to see why the new switch wouldn't fix the problem.

Anybody out there have any suggestions?

In addition to the switch, there is an elecrtonic modlue used to control the timing on the pulse wipe system. You will need to get a service manual for your year and look at the wiring diagram to find the location of the module. That's the only other thing I know of that's directly related to your problem. Manbe another member more familiar with the specifics of these cars with pulse wipe can help with location.
