We all know that when you ordered a leather interior, you got leather seats only. The rest was vinyl. What about the center "jump seat"? I'm talking about the upholstered piece behind the console, between the passenger and driver's seat. Was that piece leather with a leather interior, and vinyl with a vinyl interior, OR, were they all vinyl regardless? Chuck

Re: Midyear Leather vs. Vinyl Interior Question
Chuck:
That's a damned good question. The only way to know for sure, would be to find a derelict, old, bowtie car with the leather option. I know that the 1963-1966 (1967 is not in question) order form states "genuine leather seats", but we all know that the dolts who wrote that text were probably not as sophisticated as the NCRS member of the 21st century. I can say, that Al Knoch sells a leather center cushion cover for all interiors that specify leather seats.

Re: Midyear Leather vs. Vinyl Interior Question
Geoffrey, I tend to agree with you. As you know, I'm an old "coot". Seems I remember vinyl center covers on everything too, BUT, I got into a discussion with a friend who owns a 65 with white leather interior. He insists on buying a leather "jump seat" cushion to replace the vinyl one in his car now. I told him I thought they ALL were vinyl. Thus, my question. Thanks for the input. I respect your opinion.
