    Don't "push" the CR beyond 10:1 with a medium performance cam like the 929 or more than 10.5:1 with a SHP cam. If you want to build a 315 HP equivalent, use the LT-1 cam in lieu of the Duntov. It will make the same low end with better mid and top end. Pocket port and port match the heads, but don't port them all the way - just the area above the valve head with the ridge from the first cut that the plant takes to rough form the valve pocket. The bottom end will hold 6500.

    A 327 crank and .030" overboard will yield 311 CID.

    Bill was the guy who said he had some 307 pistons.
