I have read the numerous discussions about temperature sending units, their ohms of resistance, and whether or not they are "correct". I am doing what I hope to be a Top Flight car and need some help/feedback. Lectric Limited is advertising "correct" sending units with the "correct" resistance for the gauge. Do any of you have experience with one of these units and/or do you have any suggestions for others? Thank you! John

Re: C1 (1959) Temperature Sender
John,
While the Letric Limited sensors may have the correct response curve, they would not be a good choice for Flight judging. In Flight judging, they do not really check for correct operation other than a cursory Op's check. For flight judging, the judges are looking for a correct style Delco sensor with the inverted text on your year. The LL sensor would be a good choice for driving or for a PV judging where proper operation is more closley scrutinized. If you want maximum points, keep looking for a correct inverted text Delco sensor and if it is inaccurate, put a LL unit in once you are through with judging.

For the proper sending unit try Al @ Chicago Corvette. He has one on ebay right now, ending in about 20 hours.- Top
