Re: ALUMINUM MANIFOLD STUDS
Joe my 61 270 hp didn't have any hollow studs but i've seen hollow studs in past (50 and 60s GM Pass cars?) If carbs off intake, look down into each of the 8 drilled and tapped holes in the intake and if none communicate with the inside of the intake, then none could supply a vac. source for the vac adv canister.mike- Top

The 1110891 distributor (used on both 245 & 270hp 61's) didn't have vacuum advance. If you're using a different distributor with a vacuum advance, you can use a fitting in the back of the rear carb base (in place of the hex plug that's there now) - Paragon's #755 will work just fine.- Top
