C3-Vehicle Certification Label

Hi,

I recently purchased a reproduction CVL as the original was removed at re-paint.

Can anyone here assist me in acquiring the correct numbers I have to type on this label, specific to my car? Or does someone here have a car similar to mine with the VCL still in place? The car is a 73 L-82 coupe with a/c, 4-speed and pwr. steering.

According To one source, I only need the date of manufacture in the upper right corner and my Vin # across the bottom center, can anyone here verify this to be correct?

In addition to the CVL, I also have the GM Mark of Excellence metal labels, were they used on this year and on a Vette?

The month and year of manufacture were typed on the upper right of the label. The complete VIN was typed on the lower space on the label.

The blue, metal GM insignias were not used on 73 Corvettes or, as far as I know, any other year Corvette.

Joe,

I believe that the metal foil GM labels are a 67-only item. They were placed in the door jambs, approximately where the certification label goes in Gregg's car.
