61 paint inside cove

I can't seem to find the correct paint for the area inside the cove crescent panel between the spears. I believe it is a flat black paint, but would like someone else's input before I start painting over the primer. I have an April 1961 270 hp roadster convertible that I'm trying to get ready fro Sept Flight show. Thanks for your help...Bruce # 39024

I have allways just used flat black.

There should be a football shaped metal piece that goes under the spears. I would paint it semi-flat.

Thanks Wayne 722... I will go with a matte finish black enamel on the plate in the cove. It was bare metal that I have already primed with Rust-o-leum bare metal primer. Talk about a small brush and contortions to get behind the cove wall. WOW. I had to use small mirror with antenna type extension and some left handed magic.

Thanks John... I will use matte black enamel paint over Rust-o-leum bare metal primer that I have used on back plate behind spears. It took some tricky brush work with the left hand and mirror w/antenna extension to get all of the plate.
