I am looking at a 1977 T-top, second owner low original miles (30,000 miles). Exterior code is 72L (red) Interior code is 722 Medium red. Car has white leather seats, interior door panels and t-top head liners. Entire rest of interior is red. Door panels look original some minor cracking. Current owner said he has never touched the interior and bought it when it had 12,000 miles and told me original owner did no interior work on it.

The 1977 TIM&JG has a *** note on page 3 regarding white leather interiors. Was a two tone interior a possibility?

Another question is the car has sat in a gravel floor garage for the last 13 years. Underside has plenty of surface rust but appears solid through out. Car runs well, could use a frame off resto. Any tips on what I should look for besides the frame rot issue, like I said other than surface rust the entire frame seems solid.

Sounds like it may be a Bowtie candidate, not a restoration candidate. I'd check out the frame quite closely on a lift. Surface rust is quite common and not as big of a deal.

Soft bumper sharks are easy to get upside-down on in a hurry if you try to restore them. If the car has original paint, I wouldn't touch a thing.
