several C1 questions

i recently bought a 59 that come with dealer installed air conditioning from the 60's that i removed the bracket for the compressor was bolted to the exhaust manifold similar to the way the generator is attached on two bosses. the pictures on 58-60 motors that ive seen some have these bosses and some dont the numbers on the manifold are difficult to read my question is did some come with these bosses on the left hand and right hand side or was this a modification made for the a/c.
2. the next question is the car was #150 built in september 58 the numbers on the genorator and distributor are 8F24 dist and 8G14 genorator are these correct or not
the car is 2 4 barrel powerglide if this helps

58 vin 150 would have been built late summer-early fall of 57 so dist and gen dated in 58 would not be the originals. The judging manual should address the exhaust manifold issues but i wuwpect they are later issue manifolds utilizred to hang the a/c compressor. good luck, mike

i'm sorry the car is a 1959 vette built in early 58

If the generator and distributor are correct part numbers, the dates are certainly not out of the realm of possiblitiy/probability. Early and late cars are very interesting when it comes to dates of components.
