    C2 fuel gauge

Fuel gauge is stuck on 1/2 tank. I have power to both sides of the fuse. Anything else I can check prior to changing the sending unit.

Look in the archives. The sending unit can be checked by disconnecting the "S" and "I" leads and touching them together (pegs gauge one way) and then grounding the brown lead which pegs the gauge in the opposite direction. If the gauge doesn't move, it's not the sender. I recently had the terminal off the back of my fuel gauge and when I reconnected it, one of the wires inside the terminal pushed back and wasn't making contact leaving the gauge stuck on half.

You'll find a nice troubleshooting chart for the unique fuel gauge system common to mid-year Corvette in your copy of the shop manual ('63-65) or chassis service manual ('66 and '67). Chart lists what to check based on gauge pointer symptom....
