I know of the guy I bought it from and the one before him
any idea how I can trace this?
Im in North Carolina car was last title in Kentucky and before that Georgia.
Id like to compile the history of my car and hopefully locate some missing parts.
Johny,
I don't know how long Kentucky and Georgia keep title records on motor vehicles, but that would be one avenue to try.
Does the car have any documentation with it? Does it have any paperwork on top of the gas tank or in any other not normally accessable place (under dash, etc.) that gives you any indication where the car originated (dealer). Put an ad in the Driveline seeking information. Any friendly acquaintences with law enforcement agencies if they can help. Can your insurance agent run the numbers on the car and come up with anything?
Just a few thought. Good luck in your search.

Im going to contact both kentucky and georgia and see what they can come up with
I thought about the drive line thing as well good idea, as far as the car there is no tank sticker and I havent torn into her yet to see if I can find one I hope that I can that would be a grea find!
Id like to learn about the history and the guy I bought it from is going to do some research for me as well..
I was able to trace several owners of my car using the person search in Yahoo. Since it sounds like you know the name and state, just type it in and see what you get. If you know the town even better. I found the son of one previous owner living in his dad's house and he gave me the phone number of his dad. Another I found by making calls to the hits in Yahoo that came up from the last name & state search. Of course if the last name is common, this could be time consuming or expensive.
