    C3 Wheels

1907 Corvette. Should the wheels be primed before they are painted Argent Silver?

    Don-----

1907 Corvette wheels were mostly made of wood, so they were most likely just shellaced. By now, most of them have rotted away so there are no original wheels to compare to to settle the question once-and-for-all.

For 1970 Corvettes, I believe that the wheels were entirely primered in black prior to the face portion of the wheels being painted with argent silver.

Yeah, but some 'blooper's ARE funny and it's a rare day when Joe Lucia does a nice and obvious job with dry tongue-in-cheek humor! I too had a good chuckle and don't think anyone misunderstood Joe's reply as anything other than good natured jest....

Does that mean we can expect a 1907 Judging Manual?

So we can probably expect that there exists at least one wooden 1907 Corvette to go with the one metal Corvette that all of our neighbors remember seeing when their distant uncle drove it home from the dealership.

If you guys poked fun at all of my typos, you would be laughing so hard you would think this was the Funny Bone.

Re: Sorry,I didn't mean it as a slam against Joe

I too got a chuckle out of it. Based on my typing skills I know how easy it is to make typos. Joe, please accept my apology if you were offended by my comment.
