    C-2 Antenna ground

Does the antenna ground strap go thru the rear wire harness grommet thru the rear (driver side) mount to the frame to be grounded?

Bob -- The ground strap (ribbon) is attached to the bottom bolt of the power antenna bracket, on the rear side of the body splash shield, as shown in the AIM. From there, the strap goes horizontally inboard to the edge of the splash shield, then turns forward, following the outer edge of the frame and the INNER side of the underbody fiberglass square "cup" to which the bracket for the # 4 body mount is riveted. The other end of the ribbon strap is screwed to the upper of the two frame holes just forward of the rear body mount. Strangely, this upper hole is above the frame weld seam on my early '65, but below the weld seam on my late car.

Doesn't feed through the grommet (no hole/provision for it). Makes a gentle curved bend from bottom of antennat over the top of the frame rail to mounting point on the outer side of the frame just forward of the antenna.

What type of bolt or fastener is used on the frame?
