    Oil Pan for 67 350hp

I need to know if anyone knows the correct part number/source for an oil pan for 67 327/350. My pan has been changed and I want to put the correct one back on the car. Thanks!

    Craig-----

Your engine originally used oil pan GM #3820000. This pan was discontinued about 1976 and replaced by #360866, which continues to be available in service to this day. The only difference between the GM #3820000 oil pan and the GM #360866 oil pan relates to the front seal arch configuration. The original pan used a slightly smaller radius to accomodate a thinner .22" seal, GM #3887151. The later pan uses a larger radius to accomodate a .41" thick seal, currently GM #12337940. This difference is very difficult, but not impossible, to discern with the pan installed on the car.

If you wish a COMPLETELY original pan, you will need to seek one out from a used parts vendor. These are not so common since the Corvette oil pan configuration from 1963 to 1974 was unique to Corvettes. Also, many original pans may have suffered distortion or denting and will not seal properly or appear as new. I recommend using the GM #360866 pan. It is available from any GM dealer and currently lists for $130.37. Use pan gasket kit GM #14079399 with this pan.
